I write contemporary literary short fiction and novel-length works that explore what can happen when our inner life comes into contact with the world at large.
I’m endlessly fascinated by the ways we are shaped and shape ourselves, how we shift and change, the often small and quiet moments than can leave an indelible mark, and the myriad points of contact between the ‘I’ we know – or think we do – and everything that isn’t us. These ideas inform much of my writing.
My short stories have won prizes and appeared in Overland, Review of Australian Fiction and Award Winning Australian Writing.
An earlier novel manuscript, Everywhere Then Gone, was selected for the Publisher Introduction Program at Varuna Writer’s House.
I am currently working on a fourth draft of my latest novel manuscript, Three Rooms.
I live in Melbourne, Australia.
